Pleasant Point Union Church

Welcome Everybody

Pleasant Point Union Church on Sturgeon Lake in the Heart of the Kawarthas Since 1922

As early as 1913 ministers came from nearby Lindsay on Sunday evenings to conduct services at different cottages.
We are a non-denomination church in the picturesque village of Pleasant Point Ontario. Our services through July and August are conducted by visiting ministers from different backgrounds. The Church with its pleasing rustic atmosphere is available for Weddings Christenings and other community activities. Pleasant Point Union Church wishes to welcome all people to share their faith in a warm ecumenical setting and to experience our delightful community.
On August 4, 1922, a committee was formed from the Cottagers Association to procure land and build the church. Within two weeks, August 25, 1922, the current building was erected by voluntary labour and with the supervision of a carpenter.
It was dedicated August 27, 1922. A young lawyer, later Premier Frost of Ontario, drew up the constitution, which has kept all denominations worshipping
in harmony.
