Our community was saddened by the sudden passing of Bill at the family cottage in Pleasant Point on September 9, 2010. He is greatly missed by Mildred his devoted wife of 57 years and their children.

A wonderful success - thanks to the volunteer teamwork and the interest of the community. The entire proceeds totaling $1,300 will be donated to the Haiti Mission.

Following the service on July 17 by Father Gary Davis, Brenda Odonoghue gave a presentation about her experiences in Haiti last year. It is a well known fact that a large percentage of the donations to the Haiti Fund are mishandled and do not reach the people in real need. This is not the case of the hands on group that Brenda represents who personally deliver the necessites purchased from donations directly to the remote villages of Haiti. You too can help by donating items and clothing. Financial donations are greatly appreciated to help with the shipping costs.
